Shah Rukh reveals his New Year plans

Shah Rukh Khan will take a break for a couple of days close to New Year's.

Shah Rukh Khan has been working round the clock. When he is not shooting for a film, receiving an international honour, he is seen promoting his film across the globe and then promoting the brands that help him promote his films.

After getting positive reviews from Don 2, the superstar is relieved. He now wishes to take a break for a few days from the movies before he gets back to the grind.

At an event SRK revealed, "I have been working round the clock. Its time I shave my beard, cut my hair, spend time with the kids. I will be off to Dubai with family for 4-5 days, a short break. After which, I will be back to shoot for Yashji's romantic film. We might start the shoot by Jan 8th 2012."

The King is glad that most have liked Don 2. The handwork & fun of making it seems to be paying off said he.

While most girls prefer SRK in a romantic film, the superstar should know, the ladies thought he looked his sexiest best in Don 2.

Don't call it an item number: Mrinalini Sharma

Don't call it an item number: Mrinalini Sharma

Bollywood may boast of a bevy of actresses hailing from an army background, but Delhi-born Mrinalini Sharma is proud to be called the daughter of an IPS officer.
The model-turned-actress, who made her tinsel town debut with a cameo in the Ajay Devgan-starrer "Apaharan" and hogged the limelight in Emraan Hashmi-starrer "Awarapan" talks about her Bollywood journey.
"Both my brother and I wanted to breakaway. My brother is an assistant director who is learning the art of direction and I went on to become a model. Movies just happened. I never had dreams of becoming an actress. I went to the audition on a lark and Bollywood just happened. It wasn't strategized. The reason we could pull it off is thanks to immense of support and trust we got from home and we're lucky that way," she reveals.
After her last release, the Rajeev Khandelwal-starrer " Soundtrack", Mrinalini is looking forward to her next flick "Jodi Breakers" that hits the screens in February 2012. Recalling how she landed that role, she says, "I didn't audition for it. It happened over a single meeting. My role is very colorful one. I strive to play such interesting characters in my movies," she adds.
Working with co-stars Madhavan and Bipasha Basu was a ball, says Mrinalini. "The experience has been great so far. Bipasha is very beautiful and Madhavan is such a great co-star. He shares tips, nuances and suggestions and he is just a treat to watch and work with."
While filming for the flick earlier this year in Greece, the actress gave in to her wanderlust and extended her stay in the holiday spot after finishing her shooting schedule. "Earlier this year, someone has asked me if I had to throw a dart on a place I'd want to spend my birthday in, where would it be. I said I'd love to be in Greece. Ironically, around my birthday, the shooting of "Jodi Breakers" was scheduled in Greece! It was an amazing coincidence. I stayed back for 10 days after the film's schedule to explore Greece," she says.
Looking back at her career, which began with a cameo item number, Mrinalini says, "I have a huge issue with the term 'item' number because the word 'item' here is a gender-specific term. Moreover, the song I debuted with, had a decent video. But apart from that tag, I never had any issues with such songs, nor will I have in the future."
Ask the actress if she has eyes set on Tollywood too and she says, "I'm very open to offers from Tollywood and other film industries. I've just started out and I have a long way to go. We're actors and are not bound by language. I haven't seen too many Telugu films, but I do watch a few now and then. "Magadheera" was the last Telugu film I watched," says this glam doll, who confesses that she is a bit of a tomboy in real life.
"I'm a daredevil actually," she quips, adding, "I might not know swimming but I learnt scuba-diving and went on to become a certified scuba-diver... something that I'm proud of. I'm not fond of heights, but I want to try sky-diving someday. For now, I plan to learn to ride a bike. I'm an avid book reader. I'm also a gamer and I like beating the boys at their game," she says.

Vidya Balan: I want to get ‘dirty’ with SRK

Over a cuppa strong coffee, the boombaat Balan girl sheds her inhibitions, and in between giggles, coy smiles, dropping of eyelids (but not the pallu) she unleashes her bold instincts in this 'dirty' chat with Madhureeta Mukherjee.

Read on...
Vidya Balan: I want to get ‘dirty’ with SRK

You've transformed from the quiet, hapless gal in NOKJ to a 'boombastic' babe... I'd never got the opportunity to unleash the sexual side of my personality and this role just gave me a chance. I was completely uninhibited.

Uninhibited and how! Ha, ha... yeah, I've had a blast shooting for it. It was very liberating and a huge challenge as an actor. I'm glad I got over the awkwardness and just went for it.

Were you wary of looking vulgar on camera? Fortunately, I've never been very conscious and inhibited of what I have to do. The camera's my soul mate. So it wasn't that tough.

You've put all the size-zero actresses and item girls to shame... Well, I like that. Ha, ha, ha. I think a woman should be wholesome, voluptuous and sizzling!

Emraan must have been quite disappointed as he didn't get to show his 'dirty' side this time... Yeah, he's such a jealous man. Just because he didn't get to be dirty in the film... I hate him. Ha, ha!

And the other man, Tusshar says he was nervous as hell kissing you onscreen... I think he lied. There was no nervousness. I think men can fake nervousness. He must have faked it!

How would you react if you heard someone say - 'You want sex, I am sex'... I meant that's how my character is, in the film. She's unapologetic about using her body and her sexuality as a big ticket to fame. There's no shame in doing it.

Do you think Indian women are getting more comfortable with their sexuality? Oh, definitely! And cinemais a reflection of society. So you're seeing it onscreen because it's happening in real life.

One Bollywood actor that makes you go Ooh La La? Ummmm.... Salman Khan

And one Bollywood actor you want to get 'dirty' with? A certain SRK.

What are the three easy tips to seducing a guy? Just look at him. Don't talk. And you won't even need the other two tips.

17 Bollywood songs to make out to...

17 Bollywood songs to make out to...
Music plays an imperative part in the bedroom versions of "Dirty Dancing", and it's important to go ooh, to the right La La. Presenting, the scintillating soft-tongue-tonsil-ling tracks for that extra hard thrust.
PS: This isn't in any order. It totally depends on what you are in the mood for.
1 "Jaadu Hain Nasha Hain" ("Jism"). If this song doesn't stir up the sex, then nothing will. The lyrics that would put Agent Provocateur to shame ("Dekhti Hai Jis Tarah SeTeri Nazrein Mujhe Main Khud Ko Chupaao Kahan") and visuals that just beg for a little role-play.
2 "Kaate Nahin Kat Teh" ("Mr India"). Guaranteed to get you going even before you've even started getting undressed. Raunchy, ribald and with enough juice to bring a ravenous smile to your face.
3 "Zara Zara Touch Me" ("Race"). If the mood is for nasty, dirty, imaginative passion, this one is for you. The chorus goes, "Oooooo, Can I Touch Ya, Oooooo, Can I Get Ya". A little turned on just reading it, aren't you?
4 "Ooh La La Ooh La La" ("The Dirty Picture"). In a tearing hurry? The beat will compliment your willingness to be naughty, and it's quick enough to go wham-bam. Prepare for some carnal-craziness. The song climaxes with a climax.
5 "Bheege Hont Tere" ("Murder"). Some parts are slow, but all parts sexy. It's the perfect foreplay song, where you can slowly strip and sashay to the rhythm.
6 "In The Night No Control" ("Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi"). A desi rip-off of the Laura Branigan classic works as the perfect song to switch dramatically from foreplay to instant gratification. Works very well, when combined with No. 5.
7 "Dhak Dhak Karne Laga" ("Beta"). This is the song to get your kink on to the thumping beats of this intense desi wonder. Reserved in the 'salty & sweaty' category.
8 "Jiya Jale" ("Dil Se"). Lutao your libido on this racy one! For those who like moving slowly between the sheets and then speeding up like you are in a rally, this track is just the right way for you.
9 "Raat Ka Nasha" ("Asoka"). The rhythm and melody in this song make sweet love. The ultimate aphrodisiac for anyone with a passive libido. Perfect song to let the woman take charge.
10 "Chupke Se" ("Saathiya"). This one is for when you wake up in the mood. The lyrics streaming in with the first light of the sun; the morning still bedraggled, the room fervent with a bouquet of hunger. Start slow, and stay steady.
11 "Hai Rama" ("Rangeela"). This track breathes raging sex. It is raw, animalistic and promises to help you bring out the masterstrokes in a rhythm. All desi role-play is supported in this one.
12 "Jaane Do Na" ("Saagar"). An old classic that is more for the mature afternoon of passion. This one is all candles and aromas and you will want to hum every word as you tease to please.
13 "Humma Humma" ("Bombay"). This calls for Hollywood style love-making! Clothes are ripped off, objects are knocked over, glasses smash to the floor. Grabbing, aching, biting, scratching, pushing... You get the picture?
14 " Zara Zara" ("RHTDM"). Dirty, naughty and totally fatal. For the women, unleash your wild side with these grooves. For the men, sit back and enjoy.
15 "Kehti Hai" ("Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman"). Sexy silky vocals, subtly suggestive lyrics, and visuals of Shah Rukh Khan in a super-deep V neck makes this the perfect lotion of lyrical love. Just let it flow...

16 "Dheere Jhalna" ("Paheli"). Literally setting your loins on fire. Earthy and rustic, basic and primal! Perfect to lose your virginity.
17 "Baahon Ke Darmiyaan" ("Khaamoshi") A slow dreamy sexual saga! Smooth and sensual, slow and seeped in syrup. This isn't Bhansali's imagery - it's the magic of this lilting number that can loop endlessly on a full moon night.

Raveena Tandon loves coming home to the classics. Among Raveena's favourites are Lata Mangeshkar, Kishore Kumar, Mohd Rafi and RD Burman among others.

Says a source close to the star, "One of her most prized possessions are a collection of some of the greatest songs by Kishore and Rafi." While most stars listen to current hits, Raveena prefers listening to her golden melodies. A few CDs of their hits can always be found in her car. The oldies "never fail to calm her down after a stressful day of work," adds the source.

I'm not getting married: Kareena Kapoor

I'm not getting married: Kareena Kapoor

With all the reports of her and Saif's big fat shaadi, Kareena is most amused...

Actress Kareena Kapoor, who is only too happy, to have been the first to star opposite all the Khans and is on cloud nine that her movies are doing well at the box office, says she is in a happy phase of life.

After all the actress is all set to tie the knot in February 2012, right? "Wrong!" says the Bebo! "It's great that people have set my wedding date, have designed my wedding dress and planned my honeymoon without me being aware of it! It's flattering, but no, I'm not getting married, yet!"

On further pushing, Kareena said, "Saif and I are happily in love and happy with each other; We are taking our time. And I assure you, nothing - absolutely nothing - is fixed as yet: no marriage date, no marriage dress, nothing!"

Kareena says the next big thing she is looking forward to is Agent Vinod. "It's a special film. The movie is made on a huge canvas. I am hoping it'll be my next hit. Our fingers are crossed. We have worked so hard on it. Let's hope the effort is worth it," she signs off.

Vidya Balan's oomph may bowl out other biggies

Vidya Balan's sexy avatar, itsy bitsy clothes, cleavage-showing blouses and raunchy dance numbers in "The Dirty Picture" are receiving jaw-dropping reactions.
Fans and trade pundits say the masala movie is expected to beat the musical treat "Rockstar", the fun-filled "Desi Boyz" and the action thriller "Don 2".
Directed by Milan Luthria, "The Dirty Picture" is said to be the tragic tale of a southern sex symbol's rise and fall and Vidya is playing the voluptuous woman who was loved and desired in the 1980s and 1990s.
Leaving behind the grace and charm she showed in her first film "Parineeta" and then again in films like "Paa" and "No One Killed Jessica", Vidya has done everything - from wearing garish clothes to showing meat to making provocative dance moves - to make her character believable.
In fact, she has surpassed her own portrayal of a sexually charged woman in "Ishiqya".
When launched, the film grabbed attention as it was touted as a biopic on southern sex symbolSilk Smitha who had committed suicide in 1996. But recently when the late actress' brother objected and filed a complaint against the content of the film, the makers said it's not based on anyone's life.
Vidya pulled out all stops at the music launch of the movie when she gave an adrenaline pumping performance along with co-star Naseeruddin Shah.
Criticism and complaints notwithstanding, the trade pundits forecast that amidst the four big releases - the Vidya starrer, produced by Ekta Kapoor's Balaji Motion Pictures, will take the cakewhen it hits the screen Dec 2.
T.N. Kapoor, of Bharti Film Distributors in Indore, told IANS: " 'The Dirty Picture' is likely to do good business as it has got mass appeal. Vidya's already generated a lot of buzz with the way she is presenting herself in the film."
Ranbir Kapoor's musical saga "Rockstar" is releasing Friday and T.N. Kapoor said: " 'Rockstar' is for youngsters and caters to the audiences of bigger cities. It may do well."
Set in London, "Desi Boyz", releasing Dec 25, will see the hit team of Akshay Kumar and John Abraham.
" 'Desi Boyz' is good but whatever little I have heard about the story, I don't think the audiences will be able to digest it. But since it is a solo release, people would definitely go and watch it as they wouldn't have any other option to choose from," said T.N. Kapoor.
Ranbir and director Imtiaz Ali have rocked the nation with their promotional events and the promos of the film have generated curiosity among the masses.
But Delhi-based distributor Joginder Mahajan, said, " 'Rockstar' is for the multiplex audiences and I don't find anything extraordinary in 'Desi Boyz' and 'Don 2'. All the three films are made at a budget of over Rs.70 crore and it often becomes difficult to recover so much cost.
"I feel 'The Dirty Picture' will work more than other films as it has appeal for both mass and class. 'The Dirty Picture' will not only work in the metros but it is likely to work in B and C class cities like Saharanpur, Muzaffarnagar and Bareilly among others."
Vidya has been one of the few actresses who has spent most of her screen time looking old, unglamorous and now even vulgar to earn that highest spot in the creative field.
Her endeavour may be earning flak for her sexy avatar, but the actress was quoted as saying that she had a blast doing the film and that "I have given it my all".
Businesswise this year is said to be better compared to 2010. Some fell flat at the box office, some recovered the cost and some appealed to the public and spun profit.
Some big budget disappointments were "Game", "Thank You", "Dum Maaro Dum", "Rascals", "Mere Brother Ki Dulhan", "Mausam" and "Patiala House".
But "No One Killed Jessica", "Yamla Pagal Deewana", "Tanu Weds Manu", "Bodyguard", "Ready", "Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara", "Singham" and "RA.One" set the cash registers ringing and bailed out the filmmakers by earning profit.
"Don 2" will be the last big release of the year. Directed by Farhan Akhtar, the film will reach the theatres Dec 23.

Salman Khan studying nuclear physics

For his role in Ek Tha Tiger, Salman Khan is doing full research. The thriller has him in the role of a scientist blamed for leaking secrets about nuclear weapons from Britain to Pakistan

For this role, he needed to know the background of nuclear science and so he read up material on nuclear physics. He also had lengthy conversations about the subject with directorKabir Khan and experts. We would've never pegged Salman as a method actor. It must be the effect of his dosti with Aamir Khan. But we don't think we would be able to handle another perfectionist in the industry.

Mallika Sherawat's homecoming

Shahid Kapoor to do a Tom Cruise

Sporting the Tom Cruise Top Gun look in his father's directorial debut Mausam may not have won the film good reviews, but has certainly helped Shahid Kapoor bag the biggest project of his career.

In the official Hindi remake of Cruise's 2010 romantic action comedy Knight And Day, Fox Studios has decided to cast the young actor. The film that is ready to go on floors next year will be directed by Siddharth Anand.

Knight And Day, directed by James Mangoldfollows the adventures of a spy on the run played by Tom Cruise and a car restorer June Havens played by Cameron Diaz. Explaining why Fox Star, the original producers of the film decided to cast Shahid in the lead role, a source told Mumbai Mirror, "Fox Studios feels that Shahid has immense potential to carry out Tom Cruise's histrionics convincingly. They find him to be an actor who can portray a gamut of emotions if and when required."

According to the source, Shahid, who suffered a setback after his last film failed to generate the expected response at the box office gave his nod of approval for this project immediately. "Also, Shahid is very close to Anand. They share a very good equation. They have worked on some television commercials together," added the source.

Though Cruise's shoes have been filled, Cameron Diaz's place yes yet up for grabs. "The leading lady is yet to be finalised. The official announcement is on its way. They will announce it soon enough as they want to go on floors next year," said the source.

Earlier, it was reported that Shahid would work with Anand in a Tips film that would be based on Knight And Day. However, considering the original producers have cast the actor in the official Hindi remake of the same film, this no longer holds true. Our source explained, "Yes, the Tips project is on track.

However, it is not along the lines of Knight and Day. Moreover, a lot of things about that film have to be still worked out."

Katrina Kaif turns singer for Dhoom 3

Katrina Kaif's dream of taking her mother, brother and sisters on a long vacation has to be put on hold for the time being.

After completing the current schedule of Ek Tha Tiger in Dublin, the actress will have to start preparing for her character in Dhoom 3 in the month that she had kept aside for her family holiday.

According to sources, Katrina has received an urgent return-to-duty call from Yashraj Films to not just learn some heavy-duty stunts but also exercise her vocal cords for her role in the sequel to Dhoom.

The actress will need to undertake para gliding lessons and a full-fledged singing course for the project. "Katrina has to go one up on the last Dhoom heroine Aishwarya Rai. That's a tall order in itself," informed a source.

Salman recommended Mahek's name for Bigg Boss

Circa 2007, with a forgettable role in Nayee Padosan and an item number in Chameli under her belt, Mahek Chahal's career was not really the talk of the town. Enter Salman Khan, and her name was being recommended to filmmakers across the industry. Needless to say, the girl soon warmed up to her knight in shining armour.

Mahek Chahal

Cut to 2011, Mahek sitting with her family in Norway gets a call from Bigg Boss season 5. Interestingly, sources from the industry reveal that this time too, it was the same Knight who helped get her out of Norway.

A source told Mumbai Mirror, "Mahek was very disappointed with the way that Bollywood treated her. She felt that she deserved a better deal and moved back to Norway. Salman was still in touch with her. In fact it was he who recommended her name to the producers of Bigg Boss."

"Bigg Boss 5 is definitely a big ticket for Mahek. She could become a household name. Salman obviously informed Mahek asked whether she was interested in joining the show. Mahek knew that Salman ne kaha hai toh zaroor ho jayega," added the source.

Added the source, "When Mahek got the call from the channel she already had her bags packed to enter the Bigg Boss 5 house. She has come in very confidently. Salman is backing her to the hilt."

Kissing isn't required in Indian cinema: Genelia

Sexy, sweet and a youth icon, Genelia D'souza is probably the only actress who can play a college-girl with ease by simply wearing her gorgeous smile and girlish attitude. It's her style and her USP.

That's what makes Genelia a 'Force' to reckon with... In this exclusive interview with Madhureeta Mukherjee, she talks about being away from Hindi cinema, the cultural differences down south, her relationship with Riteish, and other link-ups. Read on...

Your sizzling chemistry with John is talk-of-the-town...
l It is, isn't it? We're both very relaxed people and we don't bother about our perfect profiles on camera and looking perfect onscreen. There are a lot of intimate scenes in 'Force'. It's an action film, but it's also a love story between two mature people. There's a lot of sensuality in the film.

You've done intimate scenes, but what about kissing on-screen?
I don't think onscreen kissing is required in Indian cinema. Most of the times it's done to attract eyeballs.

You're often typecast for your cute, bubbly image...
I tried to break that with this film. My character is cute and bubbly but at the same time, it is very mature. People think being cute is being clueless. It's not like that. Cute people aren't dumb, and I want to prove that.

Your Bollywood films are far and few?
I want to do more Bollywood films, but I also want to do films down south. For me, the language isn't the determining factor for choosing a film, it's the role. I'm part of 5 different film industries within India, and that's very rare.

So any plans of moving on to another industry, like Hollywood?
Sure, if I get a good role in Hollywood, I'd love to do it. But there are so many industries within India, so I'm happy exploring everything there is here.

When do we see you do a 'Munni, Sheila' number?
I don't think doing an item number is a necessity, but I'll do it if I'm required to. I won't ever do a sleazy number.

Over the years, you've been linked with Riteish Deshmukh. Now we hear talks of a wedding...
Yeah, I think Riteish has over-powered all my other link-ups! I did my first film with him, and when you start your career with someone, you become friends. You aren't co-stars because you don't know what professionalism is, in that sense. So Riteish and I have maintained the friendship and if and when there is something to announce, I will announce it to the world.

To watch the complete interview, tune in to 'B Tonite' on Sept 30th, at 10pm only on zoOm - India's No.1 Bollywood channel.

Amitabh Bachchan : Indian actors popular overseas too

This Page is About Top Paid and Richest Bollywood Actors... Shah Rukh Khan was hugelypopular in Overseas markets (Specially US, .... Amitabh Bachchan - Angry Young man of 1970s went on to Become Second Superstar of Bollywood

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who is set to make his Hollywood debut with Baz Luhrmann's " The Great Gatsby", says larger numbers of the global population watch Indian movies as opposed to Hollywood and that Indian actors are a recognizable force outside the country.
"Indian actors are a recognizable force outside Indian shores as well. I may be wrong in my assessment here, but it has been statistically proven that a larger number of the world population watches Indian movies as opposed to Hollywood - 3.8 billion to 3.2 billion," Big B posted on his blog.
The 68-year-old also said that there are many Indian stars who get more attention than their Hollywood counterparts in international projects. "Stars from India getting global celebrity managers is an individual decision. Perhaps you are unaware, but many already do. Hollywood is a richer entity and has the advantage of a more universal language, but there are several examples that I have been personally witness to, where the Indian stars, with all due respect, has garnered greater notice than his Hollywood counterpart," he added.
However Amitabh, who will be making a special appearance in "The Great Gatsby", feels it is obvious that in a Hollywood project, American actors will always get prominence. "At the end of the day we must remember a most basic fact. We are the Indian film industry and they are Hollywood from America. There shall always be a prominence to American actors in Hollywood, just as there is a prominence of Indian actors in Indian films. A ShahRukh, Salman or Aamir may well be an unknown face in one of the towns in midwest USA, but so would a Brad Pitt or Tom Cruise in Yavatmal or Giridih," he posted.
"How many foreign stars have you noticed gaining prominence in Hollywood apart from that odd Omar Sharif, Jackie Chan or Bruce Lee? Even British artists, which really should be considered, nationwise, as individuals from the same community, have a limited presence. "And how many Hollywood stars do we see in our films? Forget Hollywood, even artists from regional cinema in India have a rare presence in our own films - Hindi film artists in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam or Bengali films and vice versa," he added.
